Hi All,
You should post a draft of your analytic memo (only) in your peer review/discussion group by tonight. (The only group you'll be able to see/access is the group to which you are assigned. If you have questions about group membership, go to the Roster tool, select the Groups tab, and locate the group with your name in it.)
For peer review, you can attach your draft or paste the text in the discussion box. However, when you submit the analytic memo to me, you must use the memo template and submit the document as as attachment through the in the assignment dropbox. You have nothing to submit to me at this time.
Please do not send me copies of your drafts with requests to "just look it over." After you've finished peer review, and revised your draft in response to peer review, you'll have an opportunity to submit your revision to me for review (purely optional).
At this point everyone still on the course roster has been assigned to a peer review group. There may be some glitches if people have dropped the class. Although I will be monitoring the peer review discussions, be sure to let me know if there is no other activity in your peer review group so that I can make adjustments quickly. If you've been orphaned by your teammates, I can hook you up with another orphan so you can get some feedback.
Read and respond to your peers' drafts using the prompts in the Peer Review section of the Module 1 assignment sheet, along with the peer response sheet, which you can download from the module. You also might want to review your peers' informal profile and professional introduction. While you don't need to respond to these two texts, they may give you some context for responding to your peers more effectively.
Our general rule of thumb is that peer review responses should be returned within 48 hours. This being a holiday weekend, that may not be possible for everyone. If you're anticipating a delay in getting feedback to your partners, please be courteous and let them know when they can expect to hear from you.
That's all for this week.
I hope everyone has a pleasant Labor Day.
Julie
