Good Morning,
Your main mission this week is to complete the essay exam for Module 5. Because this is an exam, there is no optional instructor review for this module.
However, you can and should discuss, braintstorm, peer review your responses with others in our class. I am looking for polished essays that put forward a professional caliber discussion of the issues. I am not looking for "short essay answers" like you might give on an in-class midterm.
Both the exam and the reflection are due before midnight on Friday. Please use one or more of the reflection prompts in the project module overview to guide your discussion in the reflection.
If you've been over to the course home page today, you'll notice that links for Modules 6 and 7 are available now. I've made the links available now because I know some of you are keen to see where we're going and work that into your larger schedules as the semester starts to speed past the halfway point.
Module 6 is a short project that asks you to create an enhanced version of your resume; Module 7 is our only group project. If you've taken other classes in the Professional Writing Certificate that have had very extensive group projects, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the minimal nature of this project.
Don't feel that you have to dig into either of these projects now; Module 6 isn't technically supposed to be available until Thursday. I did want to make them available now, though, just in case anyone was trying to work a bit ahead.
I'll be grading at the auto-mechanics this morning, and I hope to have Mod 4 back to you by day's end.
Be sure to ask if you have any questions about exam 5.
Have a great day!
Julie
