Week 3 Wednesday

Good Morning,

Just a few reminders today:

Introductions Project
Final versions of the Introductory Memo are due for evaluation (grading) on Friday. Make sure you submit in the proper format and with the proper filenames. (See "Submission" page in the project module for details.)

Faux Pas Case
I see that many people have posted drafts of their Faux Pas Case project for peer review. Please take the time to respond to these drafts to the best of your ability as soon as possible – in whatever fashion works best for you. Remember, the more feedback you give and get, the better your revisions will be.

It’s important that you consider and make your revisions based on sound thinking. This project, especially, requires you to analyze the situation critically and respond in a way that will satisfy as many people as possible without doing harm. When I'm grading, I'm looking at the quality of your solution, and your rhetorical savvy in smoothing the situation over.

International Project

I've posted feedback in the discussion spaces for the teams that have already submitted drafts of the Research Design Plan for peer review. However, I have also posted a pdf in the Research Design Plan peer review space that provides generic feedback on this document. If your team is struggling to get the RDP off the ground, take a look at the drafts that have been posted as well as my generic feedback document.

Team Members Missing in Action?
I just checked my UNLV and to date only 1 person has dropped the class. However, we have a large number of people who have not started work on the International (Group) Project.

If you have people assigned to your team who have not checked in, not yet contributed, or are just plain missing, you are under no obligation to work with them. Project Managers, effective immediately you may proceed with your project assuming that the only people who will be contributing are the people who already have been contributing. Please refer any late-comers to me; I will happily remove them from your group.

If your group has only 1 or 2 active team members, please contact me by WebCampus email today.

If you have not been participating in the group project, I encourage you to consider dropping this class before the drop date passes. As per the syllabus, you can not pass this course unless you complete all of the major projects. In addition, the International Project is a group project; you must complete it as a member of a team; and the components of the project are worth 40% of your semester grade.

If you have any questions/comments/concerns, please let me know.

Have a great day!

Julie
